CAST (2024)

The ‘Cast’  is a result of immersion in the study of the body and consciousness. The use of plaster bandages, a material associated with medical procedures and immobilization, emphasizes the idea of restriction and confinement. Gradually enveloping oneself in an increasingly dense cocoon, once-free movements find themselves confined within a restrictive shell.

In the process of self-imprisonment, bodily “blind spots” appear — areas that cannot be covered or bandaged. These gaps are not flaws, but symptoms. They point to the imperfection of the body's system, and it is through them that escape becomes possible. The final cast is not just an imprint of the body, but evidence of overcoming a slowly unfolding crisis, a visualization of the paradox when confinement becomes a condition for liberation.
